Wonders of Tiny Tina It got an update this week, and this time, it does more than just fix bugs. Hotfix 1.0.1.0b released Friday includes an increase in Dark Magic, the latest item introduced to the Borderlands universe that plays into the fantasy themes at work within Wonders. The update has other changes to consider as well, but the only balance change deals with a Dark Magic item that might make players rethink some of their loadout options.
Dark magic causes damage to Wonders Just like the other basic effects like fire, ice, etc, but Dark Magic also has the advantage of weakening health from enemies that get hit by its effects. That’s an attractive proposition, but Gearbox seems to agree with some players’ opinions that Dark Magic didn’t scale quite as well as the other items. To fix that, the scaling has been improved on those types of weapons.

1.0.1.0b Correction Notes
- Dark Magic scaling on weapons has been improved to match weapons of other items
- Legendary spells have been updated to change color to their item when viewed in item investigation
- Legendary spells have been updated to use the icon that matches their casting style when viewed in item investigation
- Chaos Bunnies and Chests have been updated to include special Chaos Room loot
While this is welcome news for any type of player as anyone can pick up a Dark Magic weapon and go to town regardless of their chosen class, it’s especially good news for those who may have chosen the Graveborn class when creating their character. This is because Graveborn characters use Dark Magic and its effects in all of their kits including in Class, Action Skills, and Passive Skills. Increasing the weapon size won’t necessarily make Graveborn players stronger through direct boosts, but there’s a good chance that people with this class will use Dark Magic weapons anyway, so you’ll get stronger that way.
